Construction of the 82 metre wide and 195 metre long free-standing speed skating arena involved 4,200 cubic metres of laminated timber and 1,200 tons of steel. The roof covers an area of over 22,000 square metres and includes 17 integrated skylights. A single truss girder made of laminated timber and steel weighs over 100 tons and reaches a height of 9.80 metres at its apex.
