The indoor ski hall in Bottrop is the longest of its kind in the world. It is 30 metres wide and over 600 metres long. The entire structure was built on the site of an old coal tip. The supports are made of reinforced concrete on which triple-articulated girders made of laminated timber and fitted with a steel tensioning belt rest.

A combination of wood and metal materials, which makes seemingly impossible structures possible.
